3D Modeling + Game Dev
What started off as a hobby during the pandemic has quickly grown into a passion for 3D modeling, animation, game development, and 3D visualization.
My journey into 3D modeling started in the early aughts with Unreal Tournament creating custom maps. Eventually tools such as Nomad Sculpt and Blender found their way into my life.
Below you will find a showcase of some of the 3D content I have created.
Game Development
Slowly but surely, I am learning the complexities of advanced Game Development engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine. I am building my experience with Unreal’s Blueprint system, as well as some working knowledge on the C# language.
Unity Game Engine
Below is an example of a VR application built in Unity to showcase parts of Kodiak Island. This project is still a work in progress.
Unreal Game Engine
Below is an example of a simple open-world RPG game created following a ton of different tutorials. This was a pet project and something I could focus on to learn about the Unreal Engine and to gain a better understanding of the Blueprint system.

3D Sculpting
Created with Nomad Sculpt on the iPad. By far one of the most powerful sculpting apps for mobile. Models can be exported in a variety of formats. There is an active and supportive community on Facebook and in their Forums.

Despite my lack of professional development as an Interior Designer, tools such as Twinmotion and Blender allow just about anyone to create and design high quality visualizations.
3D Modeling
In 2019 I started a journey in learning how to model in Blender. To help improve my skills, I joined a group called A Model A Day. Practicing every day has helped me improve my skills, and deepen my passion for 3D modeling. Here are some of the things I have modeled.
Kodiak Map
Needed a map of Kodiak Island to be used in a VR project. Took GIS data and converted it to an STL. Optimized the mesh in Blender for the Oculus Quest, painted the mesh in Procreate, and imported to Unity.
